His expertise includes audio and video systems, architectural lighting, control and automation, networking, surveillance, alarm systems, and access control. In his role, Steve works closely with clients, architects, contractors, designers, and technical teams to guide projects from the earliest planning stages through implementation and completion. He understands that successful commercial integration requires more than selecting the right equipment. It demands clear communication, careful coordination, practical problem-solving, and a strong understanding of how technology supports the people, operations, and goals within a space.
Steve is especially skilled at translating complex technical requirements into clear, actionable solutions. Whether he is helping a business improve communication, strengthening a property’s security infrastructure, developing a reliable network, or creating an intuitive control system, he approaches each project with precision, foresight, and attention to long-term performance.

Project Manager
Alex Fife
With more than a decade of experience in the integration industry and four years as part of the SERA team, Alex Fife brings practical expertise, careful coordination, and a strong commitment to quality to his role as Project Manager.
Alex oversees the planning and execution of large-scale residential projects, including new home construction and extensive remodeling. He works closely with clients, builders, architects, designers, trade partners, and SERA’s technical team to ensure that each phase of a project is clearly defined, properly coordinated, and completed to the company’s high standards.
Technology integration in a new build or remodel requires careful planning long before equipment is installed. Wiring, lighting, audio-video systems, networking, automation, and other connected technologies must be coordinated with the home’s architecture, construction schedule, and the work of multiple trades. Alex helps bring these elements together, identifying potential challenges early and keeping communication flowing throughout the project.
A significant part of Alex’s role is maintaining quality control and operational efficiency. He monitors project details, schedules, materials, installation requirements, and workmanship to help ensure that every system is completed accurately and performs as intended. His organized, solutions-focused approach helps keep complex projects moving forward while protecting both the integrity of the design and the client’s overall experience.
Alex understands that strong project management is not simply about meeting deadlines. It is about anticipating what comes next, resolving issues before they become larger problems, and ensuring that everyone involved has the information needed to do their best work. His industry experience gives him the perspective to balance technical requirements, construction realities, and client expectations throughout the life of a project.
Among the brands SERA carries, Alex especially appreciates James Loudspeaker for its exceptional performance, design flexibility, and ability to deliver powerful sound while integrating discreetly into a wide range of architectural environments.
Alex enjoys fishing the lakes and rivers surrounding Bend. The patience, focus, and appreciation for the outdoors that draw him to fishing are qualities he also brings to his work and to every project he manages.

Senior Account Executive
Stephen Berhar
Stephen Berhar’s passion for sound began early. He built his first set of speakers at just eight years old and has worked professionally in the audio-video industry since 1991. That lifelong curiosity, combined with decades of hands-on experience, gives Stephen a deep understanding of both the technology itself and the difference it can make in people’s daily lives.
As Senior Account Executive at SERA, Stephen works closely with clients to explore their ideas, understand their priorities, and translate ambitious entertainment, automation, and integration concepts into practical, beautifully executed solutions. He is especially energized by complex installations that require creativity, technical insight, and careful collaboration.
Stephen approaches each project as a consultant first. Rather than beginning with products, he begins with questions: How does the client want to use the space? What would make life more comfortable, enjoyable, secure, or connected? What technology will provide the greatest value without adding unnecessary complexity? By listening carefully and understanding the larger vision, he helps clients make confident, informed decisions.
His favorite part of the work is the moment a client realizes that an idea they once imagined can genuinely become part of their home or business. Whether the goal is an exceptional listening room, an immersive home theater, effortless lighting and climate control, or a fully connected property, Stephen takes great satisfaction in helping turn possibility into reality.
With more than three decades of industry experience, Stephen brings perspective, patience, and practical knowledge to every relationship. He understands that the best technology should not call attention to itself or complicate a client’s life. It should work naturally, reliably, and in service of the people who use it.
For Stephen, success is not measured solely by the performance of a system, but by the way it improves a client’s quality of life. That commitment to service, trust, and meaningful relationships is central to the way he represents SERA and supports its clients.
Stephen feels deeply grateful to live in beautiful Bend, Oregon, with his family. His Christian faith is an important part of his life, and he hopes that his love of the Lord is reflected through the integrity, kindness, and care he brings to his work and to the people he serves.
